TGIF! Lots of fun stuff for you this week!
Baggu Nylon Tote (link)
I just ordered this bag in the Chihuahua print (of course). While I was immediately interested because it featured my favorite dog breed – I realized this was an item I could definitely use as it can hold a lot. It also folds up so you can carry it inside your purse for storage. I plan to use it for grocery shopping… it’s adorable and durable!
Tory Burch Perfume (link)
This has been my fragrance of the moment lately. I’m obsessed with the citrus + floral combination – it’s never too sweet and personally, I think it can be worn year-round for a nice clean fragrance. If you’d like to try the rollerball to sample it first (I’ve been carrying one inside my purse for a spritz of perfume on-the-go!), you can find one here.
Statement shoes (link)
Satin-thread embroidery on flats is huge right now. I’m loving this pair by Sam Edelman that looks both classy and comfortable.
To Save Money:
Beachgirl Bands (link)
These are my new favorite headbands! Not only are they super comfortable, they come in a huge variety of prints – including Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines ones. They’re all usually under $10 but use my promo code SS10 for an extra 10% off your purchase.
Lower Prices at Whole Foods for Amazon Prime Members
50% off at NastyGal
Online retailer NastyGal is currently holding a 50% off everything sale – including already marked-down items! Use the promo code GET50.
“Buzzfeed Unsolved” (link)
I’m loving these videos – they’re relatively short (under ten minutes on average) – but dive into the subjects really well. Even though these are brief episodes, I ended up immediately diving down the Wikipedia black hole after watching a few of them.
ESPN Documentaries (link)
I love documentaries and ESPN always produces high-quality stories about sports. Fortunately, most of the 30 for 30 and E:60 episodes are on YouTube (the above link takes you to the 30 for 30 Topic page – it’s unofficial so there are parodies and trailers on there but a bunch of episodes are available as well) – here is one of my favorites, starring my beloved Red Sox.
“Run Mama Run” (link)
This is another ESPN-produced documentary that appeared online. It focuses on Sarah Brown as she faces an unexpected pregnancy while training for the Olympics. The first episode is below.
“The World Really Wanted Britney Spears to Fail: She Didn’t” from Noisey (link)
“The Girl from Plainville” from Esquire (link) (note: this article discusses the Michelle Carter case – it is a very well-written piece of journalism but some discretion is advised)
“How YouTubers Like Zoella Capitalize on the Self-Care Movement” from Buzzfeed (link)
“The Great Pot Monolopy Mystery” from GQ (link)
“Wrong Way” from the Tampa Bay Times (link)
“Look What You Made Me Do” by Taylor Swift
I heard this late last night and I’m not joking when I say it’s been on repeat since then. We’ve waited so long for new music from Taylor Swift and this definitely does not disappoint! I seriously cannot get the chorus out of my head.
“This Love” and “All Too Well” by Taylor Swift
The release of T-Swift’s new single had me wanting to replay some of her older music. These two have always been my favorites.
“Broken Glass” by Rachel Platten
Sorry Rachel, if it weren’t for Taylor’s late-night release last night, this would be the catchiest song I heard this past week.
“Ode to the Women on Long Island” by Olivia Gatwood
Not a song but a poem that I was introduced to via Facebook. I’ve become obsessed with Olivia Gatwood’s work lately.
