Friday is here! The week definitely flew by again for me. For “Friday finds” this week, I have a nice little mix of fun and practical products, along with an eclectic selection of articles, programs and music. Let me know what you think in the comments!
SUGARFIX by BaubleBar at Target
Ever since I got my Rocksbox last weekend, I’ve been on the hunt for more fun earrings to try. I didn’t realize that Target had a capsule collection from Baublebar that is available exclusively online. Some styles are on clearance – you can get an additional 20% off using the promo code SAVE20
One Tribe Apparel Leggings (link)
Remember how I told you about these a few weeks ago? I ordered a pair and they arrived this past week… oh my goodness, they are SO comfy! If you use the promo code CHAMPAGNETASTE you can get can get an additional 15% off too. I’m already planning on ordering a second pair!
(Here I am wearing mine – in the Argyle print – yesterday morning)
“Did You Feed the Dog?” (link)
Okay, I realize this is one of the simplest things ever but at least once or twice a week, my husband & I have to coordinate via text message who fed our dogs. This little gadget will mount on almost any surface (it also comes with magnetic strips if you’d like to attach it to your fridge) and eliminate those constant texts so you can rest assured that your pooch has been fed.
Pumpkin Spice Candle (link)
There are two types of people: those that love pumpkin spice and those that hate it. If you happen to fall into the former group and cannot wait for the annual “pumpkin spice season” to overtake us all in a few weeks, I found this candle online. The reviews all seem to rave about the scent!
As you know, I’m a huge fan of matte lipsticks. These two products are my newest favorites – they absolutely rejuvenate your lips overnight. The best part is a little goes a long way so both containers will last you quite a while.
kate spade Gold Glitter Water Bottle (link)
If you know a student headed off to college this fall, this water bottle would be a great gift. Or maybe you need a reminder yourself to get your eight glasses of water a day – either way, this gorgeous gold glitter bottle will inspire hydration!
Sassy Gym Bag (link)
I’ve been trying to motivate myself to start working out again – a cute gym by like might help! While it won’t make cardio any easier, it does bring a smile to my face and reminds me that exercise can actually be fun.
“Younger” on Hulu
Another series that has been on my “to watch” list – I was reminded of this one while browsing through Hulu the other day.
“T@gged” on Hulu
One more random Hulu find – this one is being described as “Pretty Little Liars meets social media”
“Gleason” on Amazon Prime
This will likely make me cry my eyes out but it’s gotten such rave reviews, I want to check it out.
Again, no commentary – other than to add that the first two articles have slight Wisconsin/Milwaukee connections.
“The Hungriest Man on Earth” from Bleacher Report (link)
“This Girl Has Been Missing for 19 Years, But You’ve Probably Never Heard of Her” from Buzzfeed (link)
“The Kardashian Decade” from the Hollywood Reporter (link)
“How to Sell a Billion Dollar Myth Like a French Girl” from Racked (link)
“Framed: She Was the PTA Mom Everyone Knew… Who Would Want to Harm Her?” from the Los Angeles Times (link) (note: this is a six-part story… and worth reading all six parts)
“Immigrants (We Get the Job Done)” from the Hamilton Mixtape
Remember how I recommended “The Night Of” last week? Turns out that Riz Ahmed, the star of that show, is actually a rapper. I didn’t realize this fact until I saw him on Jimmy Fallon this past week (see below for his performance) – and discovered he appeared in the Hamilton mixtape.
“American Wedding” by Frank Ocean
This is an old and random find but I’ve had it saved on my YouTube playlist forever. I love Frank Ocean and the Eagles, so it’s kind of the perfect combination. It also keeps getting taken off YouTube so I figured this is a good time to include it while it’s currently up.
“New Rules” by Dua Lipa
This totally reminds me of Lorde’s “Green Light” – in a good way.
“Perfect Places” by Lorde
And speaking of Lorde, here’s one last gem.
